God’s Wisdom
God’ Wisdom for Navigating Life
Study Wisdom
Wisdom comes from God. He promises that if we ask, He will give to us generously. So, I will be studying in Proverbs for God’s wisdom for living life.
Working through “God’s Wisdom for Navigating Life” by Timothy Keller.
I selected this book months ago for my 2024 Bible study guide. Each day has a verse or two from the Proverbs along with a devotional to get you thinking deeper. It includes a very brief section to read as well as “starter” prayers to get you going.
Tim and Kathy offer many new perspective and definitions for words and phrases that will help you dig deeper. The guide has you look at yourself and others in thoughtful reflection. And finally, you are invited to apply this new knowledge and insight. You can read more about the book on Tim Keller’ website here.(not affiliated or sponsored)
Learning wisdom with others
Tim and Kathy Keller recommend that you invite others into your study of wisdom. I will be reading daily on my own, and weekly meeting with my husband and parents to discuss what we have learned.
Already in our meeting we have experienced the Holy Spirit working through each other and ourselves. Sometimes if we feel stuck on a particular devotion, others can shed light on it and give more perspective.
I’d love to learn along side you too! Be sure to subscribe to my emails below.
Updates and true confessions
As I work through the study, I will be posting weekly summaries of what I have learned. And also sharing how God is working in my life inside and outside of this study time. Sometimes that will mean I post true confessions and difficult moments. I hope that you will be full of compassion and grace with me.
I am a work in progress too.
STOP letting time manage you (part 2)
Do you let time manage you? I am finite, and time is finite, what do I actually, truly, deeply desire to do with time? Do I want to manage it?
Tired of time managing you? How to make it stop (part 1)
Life is busy. I’m sure you already know. But I’ve begun realizing that sometimes, life is busy because I let time manage me. What are some of the pitfalls of catering to time’s insistent ticking?
But … I just need to be better with my money …
How many times have I said “I just need to be better with my money”? And I truly believed that was true. But God had something to tell me about this blanket statement I made all the time. He doesn’t think I need to be better. He thinks I need to STOP being wicked.
